Lobby Toolbar

Quick Start: Run your first match.

The lobby toolbar replaces your hotbar while you stand in the lobby world: a browser, the cosmetics menu, and a lobby switcher, all locked in place so you cannot drop them.

  • Walking in clears your inventory (nothing is kept), and leaving the lobby world, or starting a match, takes the toolbar away before anything else runs, so prizes from modifiers never get eaten by a later clear.
  • Turn it on without restarting at settings.players.lounge.toolbar.enabled; turning it off again removes every toolbar right away.

The four buttons

Slot Button Item What it does
0 Match Browser Compass Opens the quick-match queue.
4 Cosmetics Breeze rod Opens the cosmetics menu.
7 Settings Your head Right-click for the personal toggles panel (effects and cosmetics visibility).
8 Switcher Empty map Opens the lobby switcher, or hops straight over when there is only one lobby.
  • The items are configurable (browser, cosmetics, switcher, and settings under settings.players.lounge.toolbar.items take material names like COMPASS), and the 9-character layout string moves the buttons: b browser, c cosmetics, s settings, l switcher, # empty, default b###c##sl.
  • The settings button is PLAYER_HEAD by default, which renders your own head; set any other material to render that item instead, or move the s to another slot. All four item fields accept JMH Icon Data, so a banner, a tinted potion, or a textured head works as a button.
  • Right-click the settings button for the lobby settings panel: the ALL / LOBBY / MATCH / OFF switch for whose cosmetics you see, the ALL / TEAM / SELF switch for who sees your in-match cosmetics, plus the Earth head that picks your own language (English, Español, Deutsch, Suomi, 中文, Русский, or the server default). The command twins are /manhunt prefs fx [mode], /manhunt prefs visibility [mode], and /manhunt language [en|fi|de|es|zh|ru|default].

  • The switcher lists every lobby that has a teleport set, in order, under its fancy name (the lobby.lobbies entries in your server language file, formatting codes allowed, missing ids show Lobby N).

  • Hopping waits out settings.players.lounge.toolbar.switcher.cooldown-seconds (3 by default). The command versions are /manhunt prefs switch <lobby-id> [player] and /manhunt prefs fx [mode] [player].
  • Lobbies carry a lobby-mode in the same file: CLASSIC serves the standard playlists, RANKED serves ranked ones only, and ranked lobbies show a Ranked tag on their switcher entry.

Builders and spectators

  • Players with jmanhunt.admin or jmanhunt.editlobby keep their items: buttons land in air slots only, and an occupied slot keeps the builder's stack while that button is skipped.
  • A slot holding exactly the deployed button refreshes in place on redeploy, so reloads never duplicate buttons into storage.
  • The buttons never lock for them, and clicking a button still works until they trash it.
  • Hot reloads treat builders gracefully: enabling the toolbar hands them buttons as above, and disabling it (or leaving the lobby world) clears a slot only when it still holds exactly the deployed button for that slot. Anything they placed, moved, or reconfigured stays untouched.
  • Everyone else is handled with force: enabling clears and relocks, disabling strips every button.
  • The spectator toolbar is unchanged apart from its four item materials, now configurable under settings.players.spectator.toolbar.items.*.
