Set up ranked play¶
Part of Start here. Run your first match before this.
Ranked adds seasons, ratings, and a leaderboard to your matches. Below is the shortest path to a working ladder: about 15 minutes. Fine-tuning lives in Ranked for later.
All settings live in plugins/JManhunt/advanced/playlists.yml unless noted.
/manhunt reload applies your changes.
1. Turn it on¶
Ranked needs three things: statistics on, the ranked switch on, and one RANKED lobby.
This command tells you which of the three is missing. Fix what it names:
- Single lobby? Set it to
RANKEDinsettings/world-engine/lobby-config.yml. That lobby then only offers ranked queues. - Several lobbies? Dedicate one of them to ranked.
Then queue one ranked match from the browser. If the console warns the category is not offered, you are standing in the wrong lobby.
2. Set the season length¶
90 days suits most servers. Past seasons archive themselves and stay readable.
3. Place newcomers¶
New players start at 300 rating and show as Unranked for their first 3 games. Leave it; these numbers only matter once your ladder is busy.
4. Draw the ranks¶
Each number is the rating where a new rank starts. Keep them rising; rename ranks in your language file, never by reordering here.
5. Verify the ladder¶
/manhunt ranked statusshows the season is on.- Play one full ranked match: it should start, end, and show a rating afterwards.
- Open the ranked browser panel and check your standing card.
Done. Your ladder works.
